The Baby Bucket List

So Michael and I have been talking for a while about the things that we want/need to do. But that’s been just it… talking. We talk and talk and talk, but nothing ever gets done. But using this as my motivator, I’ve decided that we are no long going to just talk about it, we are actually going to DO it!

Considering the things that we want/need to do, it is really overwhelming! Seriously, the amount of things that need to be done around our house and the lack of funds to do so we are going to have to be really creative, which we will need your help on!

So to help us out, I’ve made a list of the things we want to do. Coincidentally, it does coincide with another big thing in our life… KIDS. The amazing Rebecca at Craving Simplicity inspired me! She and her hubby created a “Baby Bucket List.” A list of things they want to complete and/or do before they have a baby! What a BRILLIANT idea!

So here is our list:

House:
Get Organized
Replace carpets
Buy new furniture
Maintain a clean home at all times

Budget:
Reduce our spending
Create a savings account with enough money to cover living expenses for 3-6 months
Have a savings account in general
Get out of DEBT

Relationship:
Have one date night a week (Free Date or Out, more on that later)
Eat dinner at the table with no TV at least twice a week
Find a church home
Take one vacation a year (big or small)

Other:
Buy my dream camera and work on my photography
Run for 30 minutes
Work out regularly
Continue our diet change and eat healthy

After we made our list, then we haveto breakdown our list even more. This list will include the more specific things we want to accomplish. I’ll share that list with you in another post with how we plan on accomplishing them!

What creative ways have you completed projects in and around your home for little to no money? What things are on your list that you want to accomplish?
